The emerald Abasha river, waterfalls and boat rides through Colchian forest.
Gachedili Canyon Natural Monument, better known as Martvili Canyon, was carved into limestone by the Abasha river near the village of Gachedili, 240 metres above sea level. Inside the canyon the water is a deep green.
The visitor centre is in Inchkhuri. A circular trail of about 700 metres starts there, with two bridges, three viewpoints and an old staircase cut into the limestone. Boat rides cover about 300 metres of the river, past small waterfalls and rapids.
Legend says this was the Dadiani family's bathing place, where only nobles were allowed to swim.
