An 18th-century church in the grounds of the Dadiani residence, part of the Salkhino monastery.
The Church of the Virgin was built in the 18th century in the grounds of the Dadiani summer residence and is still in use. It belongs to the Salkhino monastery of the Chkondidi diocese.
The monastery also keeps Samegrelo's wine tradition alive: it makes wine again from Ojaleshi, the local grape first planted in Salkhino in the 19th century.
Please dress modestly when entering: women cover their hair and wear a skirt, men wear long trousers.
