One village, two centuries of history

Where princes spent their summers

In the 19th century the princes of Mingrelia, the Dadiani, built their summer palace in Salkhino. It hosted feasts with European guests, Ojaleshi vineyards were planted here, and Samegrelo wine made its name. Today you will find a centuries-old park, an 18th-century church and a historic cellar with 12 qvevri.
